Combat Trauma Training

In U.S. military training courses, goats and pigs are shot, stabbed, and dismembered to train medical personnel. Please ask your representative and senators to co-sponsor H.R. 1243 and S. 498—the BEST Practices Act.

Emergency Medicine

Ninety-four percent of surveyed emergency medicine residency programs in the United States and Canada use only human-relevant training methods. Urge these programs that continue to use animals to switch to simulation:

Hennepin Healthcare

University of Missouri Columbia

Vanderbilt University

Paramedic Training

The University of Washington in Seattle is the only paramedic program in the northwest region of the United States known to use animals to teach emergency procedures instead of implementing modern training methods. Urge UW to switch to simulation.

Medical Experiments

After more than 25 years, the experiments on dogs at Wayne State University have contributed nothing to treatments for patients suffering from heart failure or hypertension. Please tell the president of Wayne State to end the dog experiments.
