How do I apply for a travel award?
Applications for travel awards are no longer being considered. Travel award applications were due April 3.
Who can attend the Summer Immersion?
Attendance is open to those at any career stage interested in learning about and gaining experience in nonanimal research and testing methods. No prior experience in nonanimal methods is necessary.
Where should I stay?
The Summer Immersion arranged a room block at Residence Inn by Marriott Baltimore at the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus. Use this link to book your accommodations before Sunday, May 24, 2026 to secure the event rate of $159.00 USD per night. Breakfast is included in this price.
I need help with my visa, what should I do?

How do I get to the Summer Immersion?
The 2026 Summer Immersion is taking place in Baltimore, Maryland. The closest airport to the event is Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).
All times are transportation by car:

- Dulles International Airport: >1 hour

Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes, there is a parking garage at the venue with ample space for $15 a day at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Street parking is also available, but different streets have varying rules, so we advise attendees to check all signage before street parking.
Which entrance should I use for the Summer Immersion?
