Yogurt Does Not Improve Health

Daily yogurt consumption does not offer any improvement in quality of life, according to a study published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Researchers followed 4,445 participants as part of the ENRICA (Nutrition and Cardiovascular Risk in Spain) study for 3.5 years and monitored their diets. Those who consumed one or more servings of yogurt daily did not show any improvement in physical or mental health when compared to those who consumed less or no yogurt. The study authors hope their findings will better inform policymakers who assess health claims made by different food industries.
