Strawberries Reduce Risk for Alzheimer's Disease

Strawberries may reduce the risk for Alzheimer’s disease, according to results published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease. Those who ate the most strawberries had the highest intake of antioxidant compounds that led to fewer tau tangles in the brain, a sign of cognitive decline, when compared to those who ate the least amount of strawberries. Eating more strawberries reduces inflammation in the brain linked to Alzheimer’s disease.
