A doctor has changed her life by adopting a plant-based diet and is now using her experience to transform the lives of her patients.
Her journey to health began years earlier when her family immigrated to the United States from India. It wasn’t long before she began gaining weight on the standard American diet. As Chuck and Dr. Rahman discuss, weight gain is difficult for any teenager, let alone one who is trying to make friends in a new country.
It wasn’t until years later when her own health began to deteriorate that she turned to a vegan diet. It wasn’t long before she began to see results and started feeling better. She became so inspired by her transformation that she’s paying it forward with a weight loss program at the Barnard Medical Center.
Chuck is also joined by Nolan Rodman and Hana Kahleova, MD, to find out how Nolan’s transition to a plant-based diet is progressing. In part one of the interview, Nolan was getting ready to try going vegan for the first time. How is he feeling now? What did Dr. Kahleova discover about his transition? They’ve run the tests, and the results are in!
