Basil Pesto Spread

Makes 12 Servings

  • packed fresh basil leaves (1 cup)
  • garlic, chopped (2 cloves)
  • firm low-fat silken tofu (12.3-ounce or 1 package)
  • kosher salt (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste)


  1. Place the basil and garlic in a food processor and process until well chopped.

  2. Add the tofu and process until smooth.

  3. Season with salt and black pepper.
