Cooking for people with different dietary needs can feel overwhelming—this class makes it simple. Based on the Physicians Committee’s well-known Universal Meals program, this one-session online class is designed to help everyone feel welcome at the table.
The class includes an educational talk and discussion on the Universal Meals approach, followed by a live cooking demonstration of three flavorful, plant-based recipes. These recipes are designed to work for a wide range of needs, whether for health goals, food allergies, cultural or religious traditions, or personal preferences.
Recipes focus on vegetables, fruits, legumes, non-gluten grains, herbs, and spices, and are free from animal products, gluten-containing grains, dairy, nuts, alcohol, and other common allergens.
Perfect for anyone who is gluten-free, lactose intolerant, nut-free—or for hosts wondering, “What do I cook when my guests all eat differently?” Participants leave with practical guidelines and recipes they can confidently use for everyday meals or shared gatherings.
