Melanie Kaye
Food for Life Instructor

Melanie Kaye grew up eating the standard American Diet and learning about nutrition from commercials and advertising. In 2013, she worked for a plant-based nutrition company and learned the health promoting benefits of eating a whole food plant-based. She was dismayed by the misinformation around nutrition she had growing up and that there was no mention of the detrimental effect of animal products on human health. Since then, she has been plant-based and adopted a Vegan lifestyle as her prescription for health. In 2014 she completed the certification in plant-based nutrition from T. Colin Campbell’s Center for Nutrition and went on to create and teach whole-food plant-based nutrition and cooking classes focused on “Eating for Vitality”.
As a PCRM Food for Life Instructor her purpose is to share, in an informative and fun way, the evidence-based health benefits of a whole food plant-based diet to fight chronic disease.
