Foods for a Healthy Heart
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Nov. 5, 2025 at noon, Wellness Wednesdays, Food For Life Class, Foods for A Healthy Heart at the Professional Centre, Toronto, Canada.  Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States and Canada. Eating habits and other lifestyle factors play a key role in determining the risk of heart disease. Pioneering studies by Dean Ornish, MD, Caldwell Esselstyn Jr., MD, and others have shown a low-fat, plant-based diet, combined with regular exercise and a healthful overall lifestyle, can prevent, delay, and even reverse heart disease and other cardiovascular events.  This seminar will discuss some of those studies and introduce you to some basic lifestyle concepts to help prevent, manage or even reduce heart disease. We will also demonstrate several recipes that avoid cholesterol and high fat but are still delicious, nutritious and fun.
