Plant-Based Diets Reduce Risk of Chronic Kidney Disease
Plant-based diets reduce the risk of chronic kidney disease, according to a new investigation using the UK Biobank cohort. Based on findings from a food frequency questionnaire, those categorized as vegetarian had a 21% lower risk of developing CKD over the 13 years of follow-up compared to high meat eaters.
