Working with the Food for Life program is Tracy’s dream job! She truly believes that nothing is more important for promoting good health than the food we use to nourish our bodies. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for healthy food and introducing people to wonderful, creative ways to make healthful, disease-fighting meals a joyful experience.

Tracy became a Food for Life instructor in 2005, after following a plant-based diet since she was a teen. Tracy watched as close friends and family members became ill with chronic diseases, and she became frustrated by the lack of mainstream information about plant-based nutrition and disease prevention. She felt compelled to educate others in her own community and the Food for Life program gave her the tools, resources, and confidence to teach her own cooking and nutrition classes to help people improve their health. Tracy is the founder and director of Veg-Appeal, Tracy’s REAL Foods, PlantDiego, and is a contributing recipe author to several books, including "America Goes Vegan!," “Handbook to Higher Health Consciousness," & “Food is Climate.”
