Marge Wurgel, MPH
Food for Life Instructor
Marge’s mission is to inspire, educate and empower people to make plant-based food choices to promote health and vitality. She is energetic, happy, and healthy, and has been following a plant-based lifestyle for more than 27 years, having lost 60 pounds in the process. She finds great joy in eating the wide array of vibrant, colorful, and delicious plant foods and loves turning other people onto this way of eating. Marge knows that eating a nutritious diet is one of the most important factors in getting and keeping us healthy, and she wants to empower other people to gain the skills to cook and eat from the plant world. She’s taught plant-based cooking classes in San Diego since 1999, both as a volunteer and as a business, focusing on simple, easy-to-prepare foods. Marge has a Master’s Degree in Public Health and holds a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell.
