Food for Life Instructor
Lauri inherited a lifelong passion for cooking from her grandmother and later in life, discovered an even greater passion to cook solely plant-based from a wake-up call! Rather than accept her doctor’s offer of pills and prescriptions for a myriad of health concerns after decades of indulging in the standard western diet, she began to devour the plentiful information that our health is truly in our hands and on our plates, by adopting a low-fat, whole food plant-based diet. After losing fifty pounds and gaining health, she became a Certified Holistic Nutritionist through the Association for Fitness Professionals and Associates (AFPA) and earned her Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at eCornell, launching her journey to inspire and encourage others to embrace the thrill of achieving vibrant health by enjoying colorful, delicious meals from the earth.
