Julie O'Connor

Julie started transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle in 2018. Her nutrition journey was jump-started by a traumatic personal health experience with a rare cancer. A huge part of her post-treatment journey has included continuously learning about how to optimize her well-being both mentally and physically with a keen focus on food as medicine. 

 

Julie is a Certified Health & Wellness Coach, specializing in the Lifestyle Medicine approach. She is also a Culinary Coach, helping clients overcome barriers to preparing more home cooked meals. She is passionate about nutrition and supporting those transitioning in finding motivation to maintain a plant-based way of eating.  This is the same passion that motivates her to teach Food for Life classes in her community.

 

Julie also works as a Human Resources professional for a non-profit. When not working, she is active in her Community Garden and is most often found in the kitchen (her happy place), or walking with her dogs and husband in the woods.
