Donna Michel, MD, FACP, DipABLM
Food for Life Instructor
Dr. Donna Michel is a retired physician board certified in Nephrology, Internal Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. She first encountered the benefits of plant-based diets years ago when she and her husband adopted this lifestyle. After witnessing firsthand the adverse consequences of poor diet in her kidney patients, she wanted to learn more. She completed a Certification in Plant-Based Nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutritional Studies via eCornell and participated in educational programming sponsored by PCRM, including a certification as a Food for Life instructor. This reinforced her belief that plant-based diets can be transformative for anyone.
Dr. Michel’s approach to health and wellness emphasizes a whole food plant-based diet and attention to lifestyle choices. Her current mission is to utilize her knowledge and passion to educate others in a way that is accessible, understandable, and inspiring. She wants to empower people to confidently take charge of their health through their own actions.
