Don Thornton

Don Thornton started out as a Cherokee documentary filmmaker in Los Angeles. He later founded and became the director of an after-school program for the United American Indian Involvement Program. The program became one of the most successful in the country and he was hailed as the "Tech Guru of Indian Country." In his forties, he became disabled and was confined to a wheelchair for 1 month. He discovered it had to do with his diet and lifestyle. He changed his diet, lost 100 pounds, and is now a healthy, happy, 60-year-old man. He and his wife have given many free nutrition classes to organizations across the country.
