Denise is a registered professional nurse with experience in medical-surgical nursing, surgical case management, and nursing education. Denise was inspired to become a Food for Life instructor after she lost her father to prostate cancer at age 57 and she encountered patients affected by preventable illnesses every day. After learning more about the relationship between food and disease, Denise aspired to do more to promote plant-based nutrition. Her holistic approach to nursing guides her mission to promote plant-based nutrition for her patients, colleagues, family, and friends. She is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association.
