Food for Life Instructor
Carolyn has been interested in how food choices impact our health from a very young age, when her mother pointed out, “You are what you eat!” She was vegetarian for many years and has eaten plant-based since 2009. She has been happily joined in this endeavor by her physician husband, who encourages a plant-based diet for his patients. Carolyn is a licensed clinical social worker in the field of adoption and also works as a fitness instructor for the YMCA. She started VegOut Montgomery, a plant-based monthly potluck dinner group, to provide the opportunity for fellowship with like-minded people in her community. She strongly believes that a plant-based diet is the best way to attain optimal health and prevent/reverse disease, and she is enthusiastic about sharing this information with others.
