Let’s Beat Breast Cancer: The Power of Prevention
What we put on our plates matters. Research continues to show important connections between diet, lifestyle, and cancer risk—and the good news is that there are steps we can take to support our health.
Based on the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine’s Cancer Project curriculum, this class explores how different foods and nutrients may influence cancer development and how shifting toward a more plant-rich way of eating can support prevention and overall health. The first four classes examine the role of different foods and nutrients in promoting or discouraging the growth of various cancers, including breast cancer. The final class takes a closer look at foods and dietary patterns associated with reducing breast cancer risk and supporting health after diagnosis.
This class brings the information to life in the kitchen.
You’ll see how to turn cancer-preventive nutrition principles into delicious, satisfying meals through cooking demonstrations featuring simple, health-promoting dishes. Participants will also receive easy, affordable recipes and practical resources to help bring what they learn home.
Whether you are a cancer survivor, supporting a loved one, or simply looking for ways to reduce your risk, these classes offer practical knowledge, flavorful food, and inspiration for making nourishing choices part of everyday life.
These classes are designed for cancer survivors and those interested in prevention. They are not intended for individuals currently undergoing breast cancer treatment.
