Welcome to Building Social Support!

Building Social Support is a new class in the level 2 Food for Life curriculum “Recipe for Success” series.

Each "Recipe for Success" class addresses specific and common obstacles to long-term adherence to a whole food plant-based diet. Through this series you will learn how to overcome common pitfalls, and leave equipped with knowledge, tips, and skills to ensure your healthy eating goals are sustainable.

What to expect:
Food is a sensitive and deeply personal topic for many, and choosing to follow a low-fat, plant-based diet may be a big adjustment.

Building Social Support will introduce you to strategies for talking about your plant-based lifestyle and explores ways you can find support from others. It can be challenging to be the change!

Completing this class, you will leave with practical knowledge you can apply in restaurants, along with tips and skills to confidently navigate any social situation.

Like other FFL classes, group discussion is highly encouraged.
This two-hour, online class, will include:
- A video lesson
- Lively group discussion
- A cooking demonstration of delicious and simple plan-based dishes
- Group activity
- And plenty of Q&A and actionable handouts
