This 4 class series is an excellent introduction for anyone who wants to learn about the health benefits of a plant based diet. Facilitated by Rene Pere, Food for Life instructor, a supportive group setting is provided for attendees to ask questions, share their experiences, and to gain new knowledge on how food can promote personal health as well as reverse disease. Students will learn the specific health promoting effects when eating more whole plant foods, and will be provided resources for easy to follow recipes to maximize health. Each class format allows time for discussion, viewing an educational film, taking a quiz, and exploring practical tips and strategies to implement in creating sustainable changes for a healthier lifestyle. Past class attendees have expressed less confusion about making healthy food choices. Others have experienced health improvements including weight loss, lower cholesterol levels, better sleep, and more energy.
