Low fat whole food plant-based nutrition comprising whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables provides the ideal fuel for any physical activity. These foods allow for a speedy recovery, unlike high-fat and animal-based diets. As we age, it is also important to understand the role of healthy foods to stay active and support healthy bones.
The class includes an informative video, discussion and cooking demonstrations along with handouts of easy and affordable recipes participants can prepare at home. Recipes and handouts will be provided a few days prior to class. Pre-registration is required at least 24 hours in advance.
