This class will help participants set goals for optimal fiber intake to assist with weight management and minimize chronic digestive problems and colorectal cancer. Fiber helps us feel fuller on fewer calories and rids our system of excess toxins and hormones. There is plenty of fiber in vegetables, fruits, beans, and whole grains. Animal products, however, don’t have any fiber at all. The average American is fiber deficient.
This class features an informative video, class discussion on boosting fiber intake, and cooking demonstrations, along with handouts of easy and affordable recipes participants can prepare at home. Recipes and handouts will be provided a few days prior to class. Pre-registration is required at least 24 hours in advance.
