Join us for a celebration of strength, hope, and wellness at the Let's Beat Breast Cancer Class and Rally, a special event that will empower and inspire you to take control of your health. This exciting and meaningful day will take place at CRVN's FREE VegFest Event, held at the Albany Capital Center, 55 Eagle Street, on Sunday, October 5th.

The event will begin at noon with an energetic Rally featuring a local drumline, bringing the energy and excitement as we come together to raise awareness and support for breast cancer prevention and survival. The Rally is a vibrant, unifying moment to show our collective strength as a community.

Immediately following the rally, we’ll dive into the Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Class: Food for the Prevention and Survival of Breast Cancer, led by Dr. Patricia Thomson, a passionate CRVN Board member. This informative and empowering class is part of the Food for Life program by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which focuses on using plant-based nutrition to reduce the risk of developing breast cancer and supporting those who are survivors.

In this interactive class, Dr. Thomson will provide science-backed information on how the right foods can help prevent breast cancer and support healing and recovery for survivors. There will also be a live cooking demonstration, where you'll learn how to prepare delicious, cancer-fighting meals that nourish and support the body.

Key Highlights of the Event:

  • Plant-Based Nutrition: Understand how a plant-based diet can reduce breast cancer risk and support overall health.
  • Cancer-Fighting Foods: Learn about specific foods and nutrients that can help discourage cancer growth and promote long-term survival.
  • Live Recipe Demonstrations: Watch and learn as Dr. Thomson demonstrates how to cook simple, nutritious, and flavorful meals packed with cancer-fighting properties.
