Curious about how the food on your plate can help reduce your cancer risk? October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we are excited to share this science-backed cooking course with you!
This cooking and nutrition course will bring into focus the undeniable connection between diet and cancer risk. This FREE class series will focus on the role of different foods and nutrients in either promoting or discouraging growth of different cancers, including breast cancer.
Attend one or all of the classes, taught each Tuesday night from 6:00 - 7:30 PM EST online, October 14 through November 11.

- Introduction to How Foods Fight Cancer (Oct 14)
- Fueling Up On Low-Fat, High-Fiber Foods (Oct 21)
- Discovering Dairy and Meat Alternatives (Oct 28)
- Cancer-Fighting Compounds and Healthy Weight Control (Nov 4)
- Food for Breast Cancer Prevention and Survival (Nov 11)
In this class you will:
- view an informational video about the link between nutrition and cancer
- receive a cooking demonstration of delicious, health-promoting dishes
- come away with handouts of easy and affordable recipes you can prepare at home
Audience: Cancer survivors and their family and friends, as well as those looking to prevent the disease. (Note, these classes are not intended for individuals currently undergoing breast cancer treatment.)
This class is based on the Physicians Committee’s groundbreaking Cancer Project curriculum and is taught by a licensed Food for Life instructor.
Cost: FREE (we do, however, welcome donations to help offset costs)
