Evidence suggests that foods can help conquer moodiness and more serious mood problems such as anxiety and depression. Studies show a dramatic improvement in depression and hostility scores, along with physical benefits, with a plant-based diet. This may occur because inflammatory foods, such as dairy, meat, and eggs, can trigger chemical changes in the brain. Furthermore, fruits and vegetables are known to be anti-inflammatory. 

In this empowering and informative class based on Dr. Neal Barnard’s book Your Body in Balance, The New Science of Food, Hormones, and Health, we’ll explore how specific foods can help support emotional balance. You’ll learn the science, watch an informative educational video, along with a food demonstration.
