This is a cooking and nutrition education online class that reviews a plant-based approach to prevent, manage and in some cases even reverse diabetes. We will be demonstrating recipes that are nutrient rich, affordable, and delicious!  Not only will we offer participants simple ideas to get started using a plant-based approach; we will be reviewing the latest science. This class is for you if you have diabetes, prediabetes, have a family history or risk factors for developing diabetes or you have an adult family member or loved one with this chronic disease. All are welcome!

Food demo includes making:

  • Good-Enough-for-Guests Green Salad
  • Yes-You-Can Black Bean Chili
  • Toasted Brown Rice
  • Slow-Cooker Sweet Potatoes

     

Jane is a Plant-Based Nutrition Professional through the T. Colin Campbell, Center for Nutrition Studies, a Licensed Food for Life Instructor through PCRM, and a recent graduate of the Rouxbe Culinary School in Professional-Plant Based Cooking. Jane is on a mission to help individuals learn to incorporate practices that generate health and well-being through cooking, composting, and compassion.
