Power Foods for the Brain
Saturday, March 2, 2024 12:00 PM (noon) to 2:00 PM

A decline in brain health is not an inevitable part of aging! How we eat and live can help us protect our memory and stay sharp into old age. Drawing from the book, Power Foods for the Brain by Neal Barnard, MD, we’ll shine a light on the foods and nutrients to prioritize for optimal brain health. Discover the research supporting a low-fat, plant-based diet for maintaining brain function and minimizing risk for cognitive decline. Other class topics include what foods and ingredients to prioritize, and those to limit; vitamins and nutrients that support brain health; and supplements to add to your daily routine and those to avoid. Class features a cooking demonstration of delicious recipes made from a selection of brain power foods with food samples, along with handouts of easy and affordable recipes participants can prepare at home.
