If you have an interest in learning about improving your health or want to achieve a healthier body weight, then this 4 class series is for you. During this course, you will learn to plan and take part in a 21 day kickstart for healthier eating within a supportive group setting. This class is facilitated by Rene Pere, licensed Food for Life Instructor, Occupational Therapist board certified in Lifestyle Medicine. The class format includes watching educational films, quizzes to test your knowledge, group discussion, and q & a. Each week, you will have the opportunity to share with others any success and challenges along the way, with collaboration for problem solving. Topics include: calorie density; weight loss; reading food labels; cholesterol; importance of fiber; healthy substitutions in meal planning; making healthier choices when eating out; sharing recipes; review of scientific evidence; and you will be provided many evidence based resources to guide decision making for healthier eating.
