Foods That Boost Your Mood

The saying, “I have a gut feeling” is more than just a metaphor! Evidence suggests that plant foods can help improve anxious, irritable, and depressed moods through our "gut-brain axis". Our gut releases hormones, neurotransmitters and immunological factors that send signals to the brain either directly or through the autonomic nervous system. May is "Mental Health Awareness Month" and a good time to discover why eating a nutrient dense, fiber rich, plant-food diet is key to having a healthy gut microbiome and how that positively affects our nervous system and brain. Susan will demonstrate how to cook 3 mood-boosting dishes which you can then sample and easily make with the recipes you take home.  Come join us and find out how plant foods can help enhance your mood and energy.
