Introduction to How Foods Fight Diabetes
Saturday, December 11, 2021 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Research shows plant-based nutrition offers great benefits and reduced health risks for those with Diabetes or pre-Diabetes. Eleven percent of the U.S. adult population has Diabetes including nearly one-third of those 65 and older. Uncontrolled, diabetes can lead to complications including stroke, loss of vision, heart disease, kidney failure, and various problems due to nerve damage and circulatory problems. Research studies have demonstrated that a plant-based nutrition approach reduces the risk of diabetes and can greatly benefit those who have been diagnosed with the disease.

In this class, attendees learn about nutrition while asking questions and enjoying cooking demonstrations, all in a supportive group setting. Recipes and handouts will be provided a few days prior to class.

Early Bird and Buddy Discounts are available. Pre-registration is required at least 24 hours in advance.
