This class will focus on helping people with Cramps, Premenstrual Syndrome and Menopause. In this class, see how our food choices affect menstrual cramps, PMS, endometriosis and menopause symptoms (like hot flashes, unpredictable emotions, changes in sexual function, and memory fog). This class is based on Dr. Barnard’s book “Your Body in Balance: The New Science of Food, Hormones, and Health.” It explains the latest research and offers a new approach to treating, prevention, and even curing many of the most common and persistent health problems. But also takes it a step further and shows you how to prepare easy meals using the principles from the book.
This class will also:
- include cooking demonstrations;
- provide you an opportunity to ask questions of a seasoned vegan instructor;
- get support from other people making healthy changes; and
- include recipe, meal planning and nutrition handouts.
This class is grant-funded so that it’s free, but requires completion of an online survey at the end of class.
