The novel Coronavirus has been diagnosed in millions Americans. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has advised that people with underlying health conditions such as diabetes, coronary heart disease, chronic lung disease, hypertension and obesity are among those at greater risk to have severe outcomes from this disease.
This special Food For Life series is Cooking to Combat Covid-19 and has been designed to empower people to address underlying conditions - obesity, diabetes and hypertension - that make people most vulnerable to the severest consequences of COVID-19. This series will be held online and includes fun cooking demonstrations of recipes that are delicious and use commonly found ingredients. Each class also includes information about the health-promoting benefits of plant-based diets, which have been scientifically-proven to prevent and reverse many of the underlying health conditions that are so concerning at this time.
These classes will have lots to support to help you make changes: meal plans, grocery lists, supportive community, and a place to have your questions answered. Each class will cover a different topic from natural appetite control, breaking the food seduction, food & mood, and immunity boosting foods.
This 4-week program begins Wednesday, February 3rd. Each class is $25/household per class. Class size is limited.
