Start 2021 right by eating more plants. Plant-based foods can help you improve your health, manage your weight and avoid and sometimes reverse chronic diseases like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and diabetes. But, many people struggle with how to get more plants into their diets.
This class includes:
- the SCIENCE of why eating more fruits, vegetables, grains and beans are great for your body via video presentations from physician, author, and founder of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine Dr. Neal Barnard on various topics (see schedule below);
- a SIMPLE way to incorporate nutritious and delicious recipes into your routine that use commonly found ingredients;
- COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS of at least 3 recipes per class with a chance for you to ask questions and get them answered by a live instructor that has been vegan for almost 10 years; and
- lots of SUPPORT from other people in class looking to make healthy changes, from informative resources provided via email including recipes, meal planning handouts, and nutrition handouts.
