MAINTAING A HEALTHY WEIGHT

While we cannot prevent or cure COVID-19 with the foods we eat, a plant-based diet does help us to improve health overall, boost our immunity, and decrease the risks of chronic health conditions. The "Cooking to Combat COVID-19" classes focus on how a plant-based diet can reduce the risks of Type 2 diabetes, heart disease and hypertension, cancer, and being overweight.

Reduce your COVID-19 risk by losing weight and keeping it off. Achieving a healthy weight is easy on a whole food, plant-based diet! No more calorie counting and portion restrictions. Eating nutrient-rich foods with bountiful fiber fills you up with all the right things to promote good health. You will enjoy a wide-ranging and delicious menu of diverse flavors and foods, with plenty of protein and other nutrients to give you energy and strength.

This class is 90 minutes in length and includes a short video segment with medical professionals, as well as a cooking demonstration with three recipes. You will receive the Zoom link plus all recipes and other educational materials via email. Take this class as a stand-alone session or take the 4-part "Cooking to Combat COVID-19" series for the best value (save $15 on the total cost).
