In a public health climate where two out of three adults in the US are overweight or obese, the need for lifestyle change is greater than it has ever been. So many are suffering from digestive health issues and chronic health conditions that often originate from a fiber-poor diet. Fiber plays a key role in digestion, weight loss, and cancer prevention, and can even reverse disease. It is important to understand the link between diet and diseases of the gut. Don't be confused by packaged goods that add fiber; the best source is whole foods.
In this class, attendees learn about nutrition while asking questions and enjoying cooking demonstrations, all in a supportive online group setting. Recipes and handouts will be provided prior to class. Pre-registration is required at least 24 hours in advance. Early Bird and Buddy Discounts are available.

Laurie Courage is a Certified Plant-Based Nutrition Educator, Health Coach and Chef and founder of Encouraging Greens Inc.. She helps people on the brink of a health crisis restore their health and enjoy an energetic life for years to come by helping them understand what and how to eat, offering both personalized health and wellness coaching programs and group nutrition/cooking classes online and on Long Island.
In the 10 years since improving her own health, she has well exceeded her earlier goal to save 100 lives by studying with several plant-based leaders.
