Food for Life Classes - Cooking to Combat Covid-19

This class series teaches the basics of a healthful plant based diet, which is beneficial for the prevention and treatment of many chronic health conditions. The series will allow class attendees discover the power of food and nutrition through general topics ranging from weight loss, diabetes,heart health, and cancer.

According the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Covid-19 people  with underlying health conditions are those at greatest risk to have severe outcomes from the disease. Those conditions include serious heart conditions, immunocompromised conditions including cancer, obesity, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, liver disease, chronic lung disease, or moderate to severe asthma. These conditions affect African Americans, Hispanics and Native Americans disproportionately.

Join this series of classes which include a Certified Food for Life Instructor, Food for Life videos, recipes cooking demonstration and discussion on how to achieve better health.

 

Cost: $20 per class or $70 for the 4 class series.
