This class series follows our Cooking to Combat COVID-19 series. Although we are still cooking to preserve wellness and avoid risk factors for chronic disease, we are doing it in less time and in an even more budget-friendly way. Many Americans are overweight and sick, suffering from preventable diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and some forms of cancer. Fortunately, change can begin in the kitchen.

Join me in my kitchen, virtually of course, to cook and learn at lunch time on July 13 to July 17. Each day we will have a discussion, cooking demo, and if you choose, a cook-along so that you can taste the wonderful dishes on the menu. I will demo how to prepare two or three easy and delicious dishes to add to your life-saving arsenal. I will send you the recipes ahead of time to allow time for shopping. You can choose a dish to cook along with me just to get your feet wet. You will see first-hand how health-promoting foods, recipes, and meals can be easy, convenient, and taste great!

Finally, on Friday we will have our grand finale class which will consist of a virtual grocery store tour, a follow-up on the week, and a chance for you to show off what you've learned. You can pick your favorite recipe from the week and give it new life or try one that you haven't tried before. Just remember to keep it low-fat and plant-based! I can't wait to see what you'll create! We'll discuss some of the "do's" and "don'ts" for lasting change in your life and health so we can keep the fun going!
