Food for Life is a nutrition and cooking class series focused on eating a plant-based diet. This course is ideal for you if you are interested in losing or maintaining weight, lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, wanting to increase your energy and mood, or if you are looking for a way to control your diabetes naturally. You will explore some general concepts and resources for healthy eating habits, tips on planning a healthy budget-friendly weekly menu, and enjoy cooking demonstrations. The last class is a trip to the Raja Indian Spices store where we will be introduced to healthy foods and ingredients from this delicious culinary tradition.
