Are you ready to eat healthy, but struggling with how to get started because of all the overwhelming & often conflicting information out there?  Does it often seem like you take one step forward, but two steps back?  Maybe you find yourself eating the same things over & over again, craving variety, & finding it hard to stay on track with your with your new diet.  If any of these scenarios sound familiar, then this is the class for you!

Deb Klungle, Certified Food for Life Cooking & Nutrition Instructor & long-time vegan, will give you the tools & practical tips you need to get started & stick to a healthy, plant-based lifestyle.  She'll teach you about the Power Plate & how to plan your meals so they are satisfying & nutritionally complete.  She'll also show you how simple & quick whole-food cooking can be by demonstrating several delicious, family-friendly dishes.  This class includes a pre-recorded presentation by Neal Barnard, M.D., that discusses the latest nutrition research, the link between diet & health, & how certain foods work together to promote health.  Come prepared to learn & eat!

NOTE:  Organic ingredients will be used unless unavailable.  All foods prepared in this class are 100% plant-based & completely free of dairy, egg, & peanuts.  Gluten-free ingredients will be used when possible.  Some dishes may contain gluten, but gluten-free alternatives will be provided.  Some recipes may include corn or soy, in which case, certified organic non-GMO ingredients will be used.  Soy-free options will be provided as well.  If you are sensitive to tree nuts or any other foods, please let Deb know at the beginning of class.
