The PCRM Food for Life: Cancer Project class series offers a unique opportunity to acquire knowledge about the link between diet and cancer and learn about the benefits of plant-based nutrition along with practical cooking skills to improve your health, all in a supportive small group setting. The class covers both nutrition and cooking instruction, sharing the benefits of high fiber/low fat foods loaded with phytochemicals, as well as recipes and handouts, all in a supportive group atmosphere.  This program will cover all the nutrition education and most of the recipes (10+) usually offered as 4 weekly classes in a convenient 2-day combo class format taught over 2 days, Sundays August 18th and 25th, from 1-4pm. The program includes: Introduction to Foods that Fight Cancer, Fueling up on Low-Fat, High-Fiber Foods, Discovering Dairy and Meat Alternatives and Cancer Fighting Compounds and Healthy Weight Control. The class is limited to 8 participants. The fee for the 2 week class series covering all 4 topics is $100. Early Bird and Buddy discounts are available. A companion text/cook book, "The Cancer Survivor's Guide", will be available for use during class.
