Dr. Sabine Gempel is a board-certified, practicing physical therapist in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at the University of Miami Hospital, as well as an assistant professor and supplemental instructor in clinical skills, Musculoskeletal Examination and Manual Treatment 1, and cardio-respiratory physical therapy at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She is also a board-certified cardiovascular and pulmonary clinical specialist and holds a certificate in whole food, plant-based nutrition from Cornell University online. Her research is focused on cardiac patients, including the impact of blood flow restriction, breathing techniques, and cardiac rehabilitation to the cardiopulmonary system.
