Dr. Britt Kimmins has practiced dermatology for 22 years and has enjoyed the daily interaction with her patients. It has been her goal to help patients care for their skin and prevent serious skin diseases such as skin cancer. Six years ago, she began to notice that many of her patients were overweight and suffered from many chronic diseases. She became interested in educating patients about the link between diet and health. She plans to continue counseling patients about nutrition and to help the poor and marginalized learn ways to access a healthy, whole food diet. Education is the door to self-improvement, and through her relationship with Physicians Committee, Dr. Kimmins has gained knowledge that she can pass on to patients and colleagues.
