Always in the kitchen experimenting at a young age, Lisa began focusing on the nutritional side of food after a family cancer diagnosis. Her father successfully battled his cancer with the aid of a diet strong in plant foods, and since then, she and her husband have lost weight and gained energy through plant-based eating. In her quest to become educated in nutrition and healthy food preparation, she is completing a masters degree in nutrition and also holds the following certifications:
• Holistic Health Coach Certification, AADP, Institute for Integrative Nutrition, New York
• Plant-Based Nutrition Certification through eCornell
• Rouxbe Cooking School online Plant-Based Professional Certification
Lisa has been teaching English for 20 years and now combines her love of teaching with her passion for health and nutrition as a Food for Life Instructor. She enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and hopes to empower others to take charge of their health with easy, delicious, and satisfying plant-based recipes.
