Alexandra Newman

Alexandra Newman transitioned from a standard American diet to a whole-foods, plant-based diet in 2008 after reading the book The China Study.  She found that the  evidence-based research overwhelmingly demonstrates that a whole-food, plant-based diet is the optimal diet for vibrant health and to prevent and potentially reverse disease.  Since then she has not only lost weight, but also recovered from an autoimmune disorder.  In addition to being a licensed Food for Life instructor, she is also a certified personal trainer through the NCAA accredited ACTION Governing Board, with a specialization in senior fitness from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and holds  a certificate in plant-based nutrition from eCornell University and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutritional Studies.  She also holds a certificate in plant-based cooking from the Rouxbe School.  She is the owner and founder of Resolve Health and Fitness, a company dedicated to teaching people how to live a healthy, energized life through plant-based nutrition and physical exercise.
