2020 Virtual Hill Day: Rally for Nonanimal Research & Testing

Monday, Nov. 16 - Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, *Registration will close on Nov. 2 at 12 p.m. ET

Virtual Hill Day

Make your voice heard!

Join the Physicians Committee and fellow advocates for a virtual Capitol Hill Day to rally for nonanimal research and testing.

What is a Hill Day?

A Hill Day (or Lobby Day or Advocacy Day) is an event that typically occurs on Capitol Hill and allows people to speak directly with their members of Congress on issues of importance to them and the organizing group. Hill Days are a powerful way for constituents to advocate for a cause they believe in and for legislators to hear from the people they represent.

2020 Virtual Hill Day

While the Physicians Committee 2020 Rally for Nonanimal Research & Testing will be held virtually this year, your help will make it just as powerful. Nonanimal research and testing that utilizes human biology is critical to improving scientific research and therapeutic development while saving animals from horrific experiments.

Congress plays an important role in overseeing and funding research at the National Institutes of Health and setting the agenda at the Food and Drug Administration. The Physicians Committee Virtual Hill Day is your chance to speak with your federal representatives about the importance of supporting nonanimal research and testing and work that reduces and replaces animal experiments.

As an attendee, you will have the opportunity to participate in virtual meetings with your members of Congress or their congressional staff. Physicians Committee staff will equip you with everything you need for successful meetings.

To participate in the event, you must be available for a mandatory webinar on Monday, Nov. 16 at 12 p.m. ET to kick-off the event and help you prepare. Meetings with congressional offices will be scheduled throughout Nov. 16-18 as available.

Your voice is vital for showing your members of Congress that their constituents care about animals suffering in labs and expect congressional support for integrating nonanimal approaches.

Please join us and help make a difference for humans and animals.

Schedule (Subject to Change): Participants will have several group meetings (via Zoom or phone) scheduled over the course of these three days with times depending on the availability of congressional offices.
