Plant-Powered Performance: Sports Nutrition Course for Athletes

Join us for a six-week online program that will bring together the latest science on sports nutrition from a plant-based perspective. Attendees will learn how plants elevate athletic performance and will gain real-world applications for their own athletic pursuits.
This course will feature experts and accomplished athletes from endurance, strength, and skill-based sports and address a wide variety of goals. This class is for all athletes, including recreational runners, advanced triathletes, CrossFit enthusiasts, and those just starting out on their fitness journey.
During each session, dietitian and plant-based athlete Noah Praamsma will bring together doctors, nutrition experts, and elite competitors to explore how nutrition influences energy production, recovery, body composition, endurance, strength, and long-term health. By the end of the course, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of plant-based sports nutrition and a practical roadmap for implementing evidence-based strategies to improve performance, recovery, and overall well-being.
Key topics by class will include:
- Class 1: How a plant-based diet combined with exercise supports athletic performance, longevity, and wellness.
- Class 2: The physiology of fueling and why carbohydrate timing and quality matters.
- Class 3: The science of protein for muscle recovery and body composition.
- Class 4: Meeting your micronutrient needs, including iron, calcium, and vitamin B12.
- Class 5: Hot topics in sports nutrition with a panel of athletes and experts.
- Class 6: How to personalize your diet and build lasting habits, as well as a cooking demonstration.
