Practical Applications of NAMs in Chemical Safety Assessment

Practical Applications of New Approach Methodologies (NAM) in Chemical Safety Assessment: Applying US EPA Tools and Approaches in Practice

After the American Society for Cellular and Computational Toxicology (ASCCT) annual meeting this October 20-22,  New Approach Methodology Use for Regulatory Application (NURA) presents a hands-on training course to provide attendees with a working knowledge on how to effectively access and exploit the many different data streams available in the EPA’s CompTox Chemicals Dashboard to support different regulatory purposes. The training is targeted towards regulatory scientists, students and researchers. The course will include an overview of the dashboard itself and its main capabilities, before providing more in-depth training through case studies for each data stream (e.g. interpretation of ToxCast high-throughput screening data, use of read-across, generating QSAR predictions). A final case study will showcase how to integrate all the different data streams together for chemical safety assessment purposes. Attendees will work through a guided case study using a structured template. A laptop with internet access is required.

Join us for an informative and interactive day.  To register, follow this link and sign-in to Oxford Abstracts. On the Delegate Registration Form you may choose to register for either or both the ASCCT 9th Annual Meeting and the NURA training. All meeting materials (e.g., abstracts, agenda, worksheets, and supplemental readings) will be available on Oxford Abstracts.
