About this Career Opportunity

The Resident Food for Life Instructor will leverage their familiarity with the Food for Life program and existing instructors and institutions (affiliates), their direct experience, and their unique insights on what is required to teach the program to support increasing the overall success of the program. 

Essential functions will include:

  • Advancing the promotion of plant-based diets through the FFL program. 
  • Supporting the program with administrative tasks, including supporting the operational and logistical aspects of the program and assisting with the review and updating of FFL course manuals, among other administrative tasks.
  • Coordinating the data collection of the program.
  • Supporting the execution of training planning, content development, and operations.
  • Assisting with affiliate services and retention.

Who We’re Looking For

The Resident Food for Life Instructor position is exclusively for a currently licensed Food for Life instructor with at least four years of administrative work experience. Applicants should also have the following:

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite 
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and data analysis 
  • Spanish fluency is highly preferred 

This is a part-time (at least 20 hours per week) remote position that may be performed from any location in the United States. The Physician’s Committee is headquartered in Washington, D.C. (Friendship Heights on Metro’s Red Line).

The required experience for this position aligns with PCRM’s Coordinator level. Coordinators salaries start at $58,250 and have a midpoint of $63,121. A salary offer will be pro-rated for a part-time role and take into consideration education, experience, and skills along with internal and external reference points.
