The Physicians Committee’s Communications team works to maximize publicity for our campaigns, programs, and research studies through traditional and social media to shape public opinion, educate people in lifesaving diets, and protect animals. The team oversees all media relations, social media, videos, advertising, digital marketing, and website management for the organization.
About This Career Opportunity
The Print and Digital Designer will design the Physicians Committee's print materials and digital graphics to facilitate communication, define organizational tone, and maximize persuasive power. Essential functions include:
- Designing Good Medicine, a 24-page quarterly print and online member magazine, using InDesign software
- Ensuring the magazine effectively projects the mission, vision, and goals of the Physicians Committee, for readership of approximately 90,000 people
- Designing print and electronic materials, including booklets, brochures, flyers, infographics, logos, PowerPoint templates, social media graphics, emails, e-books, and web ads
- Participating in creative brainstorming campaigns with the Communications team daily
This is a full-time position that may be performed at our office or remotely from any location in the United States. The Physicians Committee is headquartered in Washington, D.C. (Friendship Heights on Metro’s Red Line).
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a print and digital designer with a bachelor’s degree, strong language skills, and at least three years of magazine design experience, using the Adobe Design Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
